An additional two individuals have been arrested in connection with a robbery at London's Heathrow Airport where over twenty individuals were injured by what is thought to be an irritant spray, according to law enforcement.

A 24-year-old man, was arrested in the Lambeth area for suspected theft and assault and a woman, 23 was arrested for suspected conspiring to commit a robbery. Both individuals remain in custody, authorities confirmed.

The arrests follow a probe into an attack at the multi-level parking garage at Terminal 3 this past Sunday. Prior to the attack, two women had stolen from them their suitcases upon exiting a car park lift.

A three-year-old girl was one of the those hurt during the incident. A total of five individuals went to hospital for medical care and were later released.

Officers arrested a 31-year-old man for suspected robbery and assault near the scene. He has since been released pending further inquiries as the investigation proceeds.

Police were called at about 8:10 in the morning GMT after reports came in regarding a number of individuals injured by a noxious substance believed to be pepper spray.

The assault - an event that authorities stated was isolated and not being treated as an act of terror - caused train delays and the temporary shutdown of the main airport tunnel and the T3 parking facility briefly.
